I have a simple tip for you today about success. I have said it before, but it needs to be said again every once in a while.
If you want to be all that you can be (or all that God wants you to be), surround yourself with the best people you can.
In fields in which you want to excel, surround yourself with experts that know more than you.
In areas you want to study, tirelessly search for the best teachers available.
When working on projects, hire the best people you possibly can for key positions.
To keep a winning attitude, don’t hang around negative people, petty people who get easily upset about things that don’t matter, or people who only seem to know how to talk about other people. Find people who talk about ideas instead of other people.
You will find that the process of finding the best people is difficult and time consuming. You will find that hiring the best people is expensive. And you may find yourself in the uncomfortable position of realizing that you need to change before the best people are willing to work with you.
But in spite of the difficulty, you will find that following this principle will pay big dividends. Make the sacrifice. You won’t regret it.
