I have not talked about it much but next Saturday (Feb 4th), Faye Lopez and I are doing an online master class from 1-3 EST.

Up until this point, we have been charging people to enroll either as an observer or participant and we have maybe 20 people enrolled I think. However, it hit me the other day that maybe we should not be charging for this class (at least observers). Part of the purpose is to expose people to what we do and we don’t want the price to be a factor.

After that epiphany, I called Faye and asked her if she would be willing to give up the revenue from the class and do it for free. She is driving here from Greenville but she graciously agreed. So that is what we are going to do.

If you are already registered for the class as an observer, we are going to be refunding your money this week. If you registered as a participant, we are going to give back half of the money you paid.

I believe we have a few more spots open for participant (I can take up to eight) so if you want to play, you still need to register here though you will see that the price is only $25 instead of $50. If you are going to be an observer, you don’t have to register at all. Later in the week, I will be posting the link for the master class and you can easily join us. Bring your questions with you. We should have time for some.

If you want to be a participant, you have two options: recorded or live. If you want to be a live, you simply need a good internet connection and a webcam. We will be getting with you before the class to make sure you are set up and ready to go and will test your video. Remember, everyone will be watching you play.

If you want to record your song and send us the score, we can work that way as well.

Preferably, we would like participants to bring original compositions or arrangements. If you have questions about that, just email me with your questions at

I would like to be an observer. How do I go about doing that. I am just in your Beginning Piano class. However I think the exposure would be good for me. Thank you very much for your generosity. I look forward to observing.
