Demonstration video on secondary dominants

After publishing my latest free arrangement of “Christ Arose” last week, several of you asked for me to discuss it in a video so here it is.

I wrote the arrangement in just a few minutes and I don’t consider it to be the best thing I have ever done. The one thing I consciously did while arranging it was to include lots of secondary dominant chords because that is what we were studying in the class that led me to arrange the song in the first place. So in this video, I discuss the secondary dominants in the piece and then talk about why secondary dominants work so well and how you can start including them in your own arrangements.
